  • Okay.. What took me so long to try this place out? I've been on a Thai kick lately and was craving some curry. There aren't any Thai places near my work, so I decided I would order something for takeout and make the trek over to where ever I needed to go. I was just at Ha Long Bay the other day, and I wanted to make a point to try something NEW, so after browsing reviews and relative drive time, this is what I decided to go with. It was a good choice. I got an order of the Fresh Rolls from the appetizer menu. These little buggers were tasty. But really, it was the Tamarind peanut sauce that stole the show. YUM. I could probably put that on just about anything. I ordered the Panang Curry from the lunch menu. Although a "lunch" portion, it was still too much to finish. Good deal there. I got it mild. It was the perfect amount of sweet and spice for me. I don't really like spicy things, so I was super happy when I took my first bite and found that there was still some heat in there, but not so much that I would not enjoy the meal. They offer the dish with no spice, but the spice is critical for the overall flavor. And, that being said, the overall flavor was YUMMY! It was really good. Definitely recommend. My meal came with a little baby-sized veggie egg roll. It was good. Really greasy though! I also ordered a Thai tea - You'll notice there is no photo of it. That sucker didn't stand a chance. Didn't even get back to the office before I had it finished. It's like liquid candy deliciousness. They do it well here, lots of flavor. I will definitely be back!
