  • Meh, I've had many many many better poutines than this. This place is in the list of top restaurants on Yelp, but I guarantee that it's because a bunch of tourists have written about it. Locals don't come away from La Banquise going "that was a great poutine" - it just doesn't happen. This place has a wide selection of ingredients to make your poutine with, but really there's only three you NEED in a fantastic poutine: fries, cheese curds, and gravy. Everything else is a gimmick. If you really really feel the need to 'choose your own adventure' go to one of the Poutineville restaurants - I've had much better food and service at their restaurants than here. On top of it all, there's often a big queue to get in to this place, and in case you didn't read the rest of my review; It's just not worth it.
