  • FOR GOD'S SAKE DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I made an appointment for 9:00 am for a DIAGNOSTIC to be done for the check engine light. I dropped the car off around 8:15 am, around 12 noon, I noticed that I had yet to receive a call from them telling me what was wrong or if the car was ready. I was told that they were still working on the car....again it was just a DIAGNOSTIC that was supposed to be performed. So, as I finished up my work day around 2 pm, I called again and was told that someone would be calling back with a quote for the discovered/needed repairs, which is what they told me when I called around 12 noon, I began to get concerned. It was at this point that I asked a co-worker to take me up there. I arrived around 2:30 pm and saw that my car was parked across from the work area, so I thought good, I would just go in get the quote and leave, well I was wrong. When I got in there, there was nobody in the store and phones were ringing and people were waiting. I was finally able to talk to someone when I was told that someone would be with me to discuss the quote and the work, and I was asked to take a seat in the waiting room. I waited about 15-20 minutes, until it dawned on me that my car has been here over 6 hours! So finally someone came to me and told me that they would have to outsource part of the job, because what I needed they did not do at that facility. I said fine let me take the quote and I will look at it and think about it. Well, here is the kicker, they could not find my keys!!!! The guy had the nerve to ask me did I have them?! I was like I haven't had my keys since I dropped the car off over 6 hours ago! Well, they were looking all over, saying "well I don't see them" and asking "do you have a spare?" I mean what kind of trash operating are they running?! Well finally around 3:20 pm they found my keys....in SOMEONE ELSE'S CAR!!! I paid them for the diagnostic, $50.00, which I should not have paid, the guy tried to give me the quote, but I told him to keep it as I would not be returning there. I was just trying to find the best price, but I realize there are some things you cannot go cheap on, because cheap prices, can mean cheap service, and they are to me the "Dollar Store" of just cheap, generic, everyday horrible customer service. Oh and then they told me that aside from outsourcing the work, it would take half a day or more, when I was told by Goodyear that it would take them AN HOUR AND A HALF! So i recommend going to Goodyear on North Dobson road, they are efficient, professional, may be a bit higher than Pep Boys, but hey you get what you pay for! So PLEASE stay away from PEP BOYS on Apache Blvd, they are the WORST!! I will NEVER go there again...and I am telling all of my co-workers, friends, family, students, and people on the street to stay away!! Please do the same!! They are AWFUL!!!
