| - This is the closest Casino to my FIL's home, hence the one he frequents. The Casino itself is very smoky and gets super crowded, the late evening/early AM crowds are sketchy at times, it is not unusual for hookers to approach him! Ugh!
Anyway, not at all into gambling, we have had staycations or "Let's not have Dad rolled by a call girl" nights here. The lobby is beautiful, the check in, Valet and Bell Staff are all on point. The suites are nice, clean and modern, with large bathtubs and separate showers. Housekeeping is hit or miss, and the beds are uncomfortable due to a plastic sheet directly under the fitted sheet, hot, sweat inducing, and kinda creepy. Do guests pee in bed here? Is it for Bedbugs?! Whichever = no bueno. We've also found the noise level to be high, lacking great acoustics. Room Service is very prompt and courteous; pool is nice and well maintained though beverage service can be lax.
Dining options range from a Food Court, 24 Hour Cafe, Buffet, Ling and Louie's, and our favorite, Shula's Steakhouse (another review) There are several bars interspersed among the property, and they have concerts poolside and in a small theatre.
While we do stay here frequently, and are rather fond of the Hosts, it is not my favorite hotel. But, we will be back, my FIL is * sure * that big payout is in the next spin at the slots...
* Casinos in AZ only comp coffee, water, and soft drinks, cocktails require ca$h *
