I finally made it to Muddy Waters after months of saying, "I can't wait to try it"! Now, I'm pretty mad at myself for not ordering oysters, but I got distracted by the Bloody Mary bar and the rest is history.
All seriousness, the Bloody Mary bar is the real deal. It is probably my second favorite Bloody Mary bar in Pittsburgh (first is at Meat and Potatoes). The selection of condiments for your drink are endless. You could build your entire brunch around your drink. And if I wasn't driving that day and didn't have other things to do I might have just done that.
For my main course I had the lobster Benedict. It was good, nothing over the top, but I enjoyed it and would definitely order it again. Our table was given a couple baskets of beignets so I indulged in one of those, too. I almost had to roll myself out of the restaurant because I was very full after all the Bloody Mary options and my meal.
My only gripe is that the music was a bit too loud. I was excited to catch up with my group of friends but could only hear those sitting directly next to me. Seating is also tight so the wait staff is in competition with the guests to move around.
I'll come back and order oysters next time.
