  • Daniel Stowe is definitely on my list of attractions in Charlotte. You have to set your expectations based on the season. Spring and summer are the times to go. The orchid conservatory is a great addition to the gardens. Very impressive atmosphere full of exotic plants and water features. The grounds are always well kept and there are plenty of butterflies and lizards in the spring. The gardens sit on a massive land plot so I hope they will continue their expansion. Be sure to check out nearby downtown Belmont. Exploring Belmont compliments the experience perfectly. Handful of great restaurants and bars with a cool general store and soda shoppe.
