  • This place was recommended to us by our server at the Free House for dessert. Hubbard seems like an old-school diner but we were told it's actually only been around for 15 years or so and that the decor and building were all new. So that was a little disappointing. The thing here is the pie. We all had some. My husband really liked his lemon meringue. even though he said he'd bad better. I went with the apple-blueberry. It was decent but to be honest, I've definitely had better. They serve Sassy Cow ice cream and also make shakes and have a full menu. I think if I were to go back, it would mainly be for the ambiance, which is really fun. Other than sheer number of pies and cakes they have, I don't really see anything super special about it. They don't seem to use natural or organic ingredients, either. Overall, it was fun and I'm glad it exists but could definitely be improved upon.
