Oh Cilantro - what happened to you? Always so reliably cool and good, your time has apparently passed. The night began with such promise - beautiful patio and an interesting wine list full of surprising nice cabs from Napa and Sonoma (you know we love their wines). Things started downhill when several of our wine choices were not available. The server suggested comparable choices at almost double the price.
We must have waited over an hour for our main courses and when they arrived, they tasted old and dry (pasta) and my tenderloin was blue rare inside (ordered med rare). When I went to the ladies room to pass some time
Instead of salivating while watching my dinner mates eat their mediocre pasta, I overheard the kitchen staff laughing about the undercooked tenderloin. Come on, I don't blame kitchen staff for trying to blow off steam - but shut the door!!!
We won't be back. Too bad because I used to love this restaurant - may have to rethink the whole chain.
