  • Easily the worse place I've ever lived. They suck you in with cheap rates in Scottsdale which was fine considering he location but here is where the issues came upon move in. For one the temperature for shower water was either boiling hot or freezing cold. When telling management about it they said its an on going issue there trying to solve it. 12 months later still was an issue. I got what was claimed to be "the best apartment on property" over looking the pool and the palm trees outside. Which was probably the only nice part about the refurbished apartment (management said it had fire damage prior). BUT the pool out front at the time was empty, it rained some and filled a nice amount of the pool. It actually turned the pool into a real life swamp. (Their lucky the pictures I had were on a separate broken phone, will update a review if I can redeem them). The water was literally green and had all kinds of things floating in it. Once more the complaint was issued nothing was done until about 5-6 months later. Then the maintenance people drilling and moving things around at the crack of dawn = no sleep before work. Later during my same lease I noticed random homeless people literally sleeping in the laundry mat. They tried to lock the space with a cheap door and door lock. The frame was broken and a few weeks after I seen a small women maybe 100 lbs kick the joke of a replacement door from frustration to open it. (She probably couldnt turn her key, ive had the issue but could force the key to turn, i was about 2-3x her size) I can go on with the issues of this place but im going to end it with my move out experience. During my lease they changed the "policy" on their utilities. Their accounting from then on was incorrect. Ive never missed a payment during my stay at dwell but a month after move out I get a notice that they took my deposit and are charging me 60$ before sending it to collections. They gave me about 2 weeks to pay it. The reason they took my deposit was because of an accounting flaw on there end. They failed to charge me "utilities" two months in a row. Although my payments were never missed, im guessing their electronic service didnt register that they made a shady utility change to the contract. So now upon move out I get punished. great customer service, NOT. I highly suggest if your looking for a cheaper place to stay in scottsdale avoid dwell like the plague. There friendly and helpful to get you to sign up, but once your in its terrible place to deal with. Its sad to say cause the other residents and neighbors were nice. But then again we would just gossip on the random things that weren't getting taken care of during our stay.
