  • I started going to this garage years ago when Tony was a tech there. He had experience in working on Toyotas and I became impressed with his work. Back then, this is what earned my trust and business with them. He no longer works there. I believe in shopping at small businesses instead of big chain outfits. I've spent thousands in hard earned money at this business. Recently, my Tacoma truck has been making sounds and I needed an oil change. I took it in for the the oil change and to troubleshoot the noises. They charged me 89 dollars just to tell what is wrong and is not deducted from the repair bill. They charged me another 55 dollars to tell that my battery should be replaced. They diagnosed my vehicle as having a leaking water pump, a throw out bearing on my clutch that needed replacing, and they said my power steering was leaking and that whole assembly needed replacing. This was going to cost me thousands in repairs. The clutch and the water pump was replaced by them only a few years ago only for preventative maintenance. I told them just to do the oil change. I wanted to go to another garage for a second opinion. I went to a local Toyota dealers servicing dept. They examined everything that this place said I needed. They told me several things. They said my steering assembly had normal wear but was not leaking and didn't need replacing. This would have cost me 900 dollars at Allied that wasn't needed. They did replace the water pump and the clutch bearing and replaced some other parts that were done by Allied in the past. The Toyota garage told me that aftermarket parts may not last as long as factory parts. I had toyota brand parts only replaced. The tech at Toyota said that the clutch had loose parts that weren't put on properly at Allied. The tech also said that my oil filter was dirty and it looked like it hadn't been replaced when the oil was changed at Allied. Really Allied? The cost I spent at the Toyota dealer was actually less than if I stayed with Allied. My truck now runs like new. IMO, the service, competence and quality of parts has gone down hill since I started coming here. I will never go back to this garage ever again. They don't seem to care about customer loyalty and their customers because they don't reply to these reviews. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
