  • This place is amazing. No questions about it. The food is always so delicious and the portions are massive. I'm a big fan of the fettuccine alfredo. The alfredo sauce is so creamy and buttery. It's better than most straight italian places in Pittsburgh. But don't be fooled this is not just an italian menu. The menu has so many different options to cater to whatever you might be craving on a particular evening. And it's all priced so incredibly reasonable. Great if you've got a couple of hungry kids you're trying to feed without breaking the bank. And, the beer selection is pretty extensive. They've recently added a huge beer list to the bar that will satisfy everyone from the light beer lovers to the craft beer connoisseurs. Again, without breaking the bank. It really is the perfect place to spend a night out without spending your whole paycheck. The staff is always so friendly, kind and attentive. Even if they're slammed and it takes a minute for them to serve you, they make a point to come over and let you know they're not ignoring you and will be over ASAP. It's always a treat to spend an evening at Big Jim's. Give it the highest recommendation.
