  • If you were one of the many like me that used to make the pilgrimage to Bruchi's CheeseSteaks in Ahwatukee, you were probably also disappointed when you arrived that one day to find them out of business. For years following their closure I sampled cheesesteaks here and there, but none of them even came close to the taste of what Bruchi's delivered. Then a co-worker introduced me to Forefathers Gourmet Cheesesteaks & Fries in Tempe and I struck gold. These guys can really turn out a great sandwich. My favorite is the #2 Cheesesteak (with grilled onions and white American cheese). The regular size is more than enough to satisfy most appetites, but if you are really hungry go for the large. The fresh baked Italian bread is great and they offer a variety of different flavor cheesesteaks to choose from. If you do a combo meal with regular fries, be sure to get some "fry sauce" near the soda dispenser for something a little different. I highly recommend this place to anyone out there who loves a good cheesesteak. Enjoy!
