| - Came here for dinner with a couple friends, and it was our first time trying AYCE Korean BBQ and sushi simultaneously. After this experience, I'm not sure if I would do it again. The AYCE Korean BBQ is $23 for dinner plus another $7 if you wanna add on the AYCE sushi. They also have a late night special (after 10 pm) where they only charge you for the lunch price.
The KBBQ portion was pretty good. They have a wide variety of meats and banchan. My favorite meats included the rib-eye (limited to one per person), beef sashimi, marinated short-ribs, shrimp, brisket, and pork belly. On the other hand, the sushi was meh. I didn't expect the sushi to be that great, but it was actually worse than I expected. The uni and sweet shrimp were some of the worst I've ever had. The rolls were actually ok. I enjoy those baked California rolls smothered in mayo so we had a few of those.
I would have given this place 3-3.5 stars (4 stars for KBBQ and 2 stars for sushi), but the service was outstanding which is why I'm bumping them up to four. Despite how busy it was, our server was quick with our drink and banchan refills as well as bringing out the meats and sushi.
It was odd mixing raw fish and meat, and I couldn't fully appreciate each one for what it's worth. Maybe if I tried just the sushi, it would have been better? I'm not sure. I would skip the sushi for now (unless you absolutely need/want it) and go with just the AYCE KBBQ.
