| - Now that I've been to other Bikram studios, I feel like I can better review this place.
I came here on a Living Social deal, so I only had 10 classes. By the end of it, I was really sad to go. I had never experienced yoga of any kind, so throwing myself into a class that smelled like a hot foot was quite a shock to my little body. Even though I do work out pretty regularly, the first class was rough. I felt like I couldn't breathe, and the teacher just kept telling me not to judge. I wasn't judging, I was trying to stay alive! But whatever. When the longest 90 minutes of my life was over, I was exhausted, but I actually felt pretty good. So I went back nine more times...
The pros: the instructors are awesome. The whole studio is really clean, and the front desk staff is really friendly. It's a great environment to practice in. Everyone is very helpful and supportive. When you're having a rough day, someone is always there to give an encouraging smile. It's not like other studios I've been to that feel highly competitive and snarky.
The cons: I believe this place is hotter than hell. They say it's regulation temperature, but it feels like death in there. I've since been to another studio which is not quite as hot-it's much easier on my body and still an intense work-out.
They have lockers, which is nice, but some of them don't lock properly or don't open with your code.
The sign-in system is awful. They have a two-foot area to stand in while you're trying to sign in, and if you linger for half a second after writing your name down, you have at least three people telling you to get out of the way.
Plus, like I noted above, it really smells like a hot foot.
Overall, I had a good experience, and despite the negative aspects, I would definitely recommend this place.
