| - Caesar's Palace is really magnificent. I know the hotel has been around forever, but you can't tell by how well maintained the whole resort is. And it is huge. And I mean HUGE. Having walked thru most hotels on the strip, I feel Caesar's has to be top three for sheer size.
The check in process actually went pretty smooth. We only waited in line for less than ten minutes before being helped. We were assisted by Zandia and she was great. She made easy small talk, and was super nice in fixing our error. Our group thought we booked three rooms, but apparently we had only booked two, and in different towers at that. She was able to get us a third and put us in the same tower, and on the same floor....right next to each other and with a view of the awesome pool area. That is true customer service.
The hotel, being so big, can be a little confusing, but there are signs above everywhere to make sure you know where you are going. We stayed in the Palace tower, which is one of the premium luxury towers. We were here EDC weekend and room prices for this tower were going for about $500-600 a night. The rooms are spacious, well decorated, stocked, have great big bathrooms with jacuzzi tub and separate shower and toilet, as well as a makeup vanity desk (for us girls who need our own space). The shower pressure was great, and in my opinion a bad shower experience can ruin a hotel. My one regret was not being able to visit the pool as we were hereon business and couldn't spare the time.
We ended up eating at several of the restaurants in the hotel(Mr Chow, Cafe Americano, Paynards-see separate reviews), and all were good quality. The only staff member we found to not lend to our good experience was a bartender at the circle bar closest to the Palace tower. He was noticeably impatient with everyone. Also visited was Qua Baths and Spa. See separate review, but a wonderful experience.
There was one incident our last night with one of the rooms. It started to develop a sewage smell coming from the bathroom. It wasn't too bad at first, so our friend called the desk to report it. They were supposed to send someone up to "spray". That person never came. By morning the smell was so bad the door to the bathroom had to be shut and our friend come to our room to shower. We were three doors apart but thankfully didn't experience the smell. We went to the front desk the next day and they compensated us for the incident.
Bottomline, I would highly recommend Caesar's. The overall experience is one you would expect for Las Vegas. Bring your money though, because you do pay for the experience.
