I was very disappointed with my experience at this clinic. The doctor was arrogant and rude to customers and his staff. He yelled at his very sweet receptionist and anyone who was in the office heard him belittle her.
He was very judgmental. First words out of his mouth coming into the exam room were why have these dogs not been spayed before now. (Yes they were older but none of your business.)
One of my females needed teeth pulled. Fine no problem. He said it was going to be an additional fee to the spay (yes of course no issue i understand). He said he would get me an estimate. As soon as my appointment was over he left the building and drove away leaving me with the receptionist. I received no estimate.
I asked the receptionist if she could kindly ask him for it when he returned and to call me back. She said there was nothing on my chart about pulling teeth but i watched her make a note on a sticky-note and attached it to my chart. (Thursday).
I called back Friday asking the receptionist for the estimate. She said the doctor was unavailable & she had no record that of my dog was getting teeth pulled with her spay, She said she would make (yet another note), speak to him and call me back by the end of the day with my estimate because he was unavailable once again.
Did not hear a word back.
Here is Monday, I go in for my dogs spay procedure. The tech/assistant asked if wanted anything in addition to my dogs spay (vaccines, frontline, etc) I said no just pain meds and her teeth extractions. She once again had NO knowledge of the teeth extractions even though this was supposed to be added to my chart twice already.
The Vet never came into the exam room (my regular vet ALWAYS looks over my dogs with me in an exam room before a procedure even if its for a second).
I went to pick my dog up that day and my bill came to $402.00.
This practice has HORRIBLE customer service. I never expected my bill to come to that amount when a spay is less than $100....
Looking over my bill at the receptionist desk,
I asked why I was charged for "extra anesthesia". The receptionist went into the back (because why would I ever be allowed to speak to the doctor myself at this place?). He said the doctor had to charge me extra because my FIVE POUND dog was under anesthesia for TWO HOURS.
Yes, Two hours, for a spay and 4 teeth extractions. (I suppose I should be lucky my dog is alive...) I have participated in several surgeries assisting my vet and this is far too long for a non-emergency surgery on a 5lb dog.
Had the doctor kindly explained what charges I could be expecting I would not be writing this review.
EVERY OTHER VETERINARIAN PRACTICE i have ever been too has given me a print out of expected possible fee's for any service or procedure.
Apparently that is above the pay grade here....
I had asked for an estimate NUMEROUS times!
