This week I took my dog to camp bowwow for his first time. After the extensive application I completed I thought the staff would understand that he is a five-month-old puppy and had never been around dogs before and that my puppy was shy. When we got there the staff said he would go in the medium size dog room ( my puppy is 10 1/2 pounds). My puppy was the smallest dog in the room and there were four dogs already in the room. The staff said they usually put a new dog in the room first by themselves but that did not happen for us. The staff did offer a tour after I kept asking questions about the rooms. It was unfortunate they did not offer to do this first. My puppy stayed for the three hour minimum and I would never take him back. As I watched on the cameras he never left from between the legs of the individual who was in the room with the dogs. No one ever touched him no one ever tried to soothe him. It was truly a Traumatic day for my puppy. Now I will have to try and undo that experience. I would not recommend this place for anyone who has a puppy that has never been exposed to a group of dogs.
