  • A gift certificate was what prompted us to try iPic, its not a place we would have driven to from central Phoenix. We were apprehensive going in, but based upon review consensus we made sure to get the premium seats which the GC covered. The food and bev was on us. The lobby and bar area are very nice, we arrived plenty early to check the place out. We chose a late show (9:55 or so) so it wouldn't be too crowded. As soon as the theater was available we were inside checking out the menu and deciding what to order. They had a $38 special: two entrees, one app, and two soft drinks (beer was $5). Perfect. Buffalo chicken egg rolls, burger sliders, and fried chicken and french toast, plus sweet potato fries and beer to top it off. The food is solid good, and our server was efficient until he left. Some dings: The online seating chart was off. Online, I chose the two back corner lounges, but when we found our seats we were the 2nd and 3rd seats in from the side. The end seat wasn't occupied so we moved over. When our order arrived the movie was underway so you can't really see your food very well. Since we ordered so much there was very little space on those tray tables which aren't exactly level. One would have to be careful not to knock something over and I was hoping I wasn't dripping any sauce or dip while eating. Not sure if its tacky, but maybe a small pen light or key chain light could be brought along to check things out once in awhile (and to sign the check). About halfway through the movie our server announced he was leaving and had to close out the check. Once he left we were abandoned after that point. Our empty plates and glasses just sat with us for the rest of the show. We had ordered ice water too, and those went un-refilled which was a real bummer because I was thirsty. I wish they had a call button at the seats in case we needed something. Meanwhile the other server was dashing around providing non-stop service to her section. I had to lay in the lounge at an angle so my feet wouldn't touch the back of the recliner in front of me, that would be annoying right? If the guy in front turned around he would be looking right at the bottom of my shoes. Awkward, and kinda gross for that guy. Overall its a fun experience with decent tasty food. Its a splurge including the food and drink, but we'll try it again.
