Updated 4/6/17: The fact they are now called "Dignity Health" is ironic. Contacting the patient advocacy number at CRMC resulted in nothing. After giving a general rundown of what's been going on, I was told a supervisor would be up to the room to discuss with us. They never came. Absolutely bizarre, so take the "direct lifeline for patients and family" with a serious grain of salt. No one will likely respond.
Problems still persisted. Verified that hospital staff provided my mother and myself an additional diagnosis for my father that was completely false, apparently based off of an error made by admitting. I can't fathom how this happens. I've been told more than once not to believe ANYTHING I'm told by his team unless it comes directly from the specialist. Having a member of the team tell you not to rely on the team is disconcerting. I'm supposed to trust his life to these people while simultaneously told to be wary? Unacceptable.
He also went multiple days without being bathed or having linen changes. At this point in recovery he is at the total mercy of the hospital staff and cannot even verbalize his own needs. This has been very sad, I can't imagine having no family to intervene on your behalf.
I finally walked into the administration office where I was promptly put in touch with the unit head, who actually did seem genuinely interested in resolving the concerns she was able to help with.
Please read my initial review as well prior to deciding to choose this facility.
