  • PUT A SMOCK ON YOUR CLIENTS! For $225, they could have at LEAST put a smock on me and threw a LITTLE product in my hair... I am sad to say my formerly 5 star review is now downgraded due to multiple reasons from my last visit. The experience was mediocre at best. And I wasn't going to even come to Yelp about it. UNTIL I SAW THE BACK OF MY SHIRT! My collar was SOAKED and stained with dark hair dye! And then there were additional dribbles down the entire back! AWFUL! It was a $30 casual shirt from Macy's, and I CRINGE to think if I was wearing a silk dress blouse!! This and the fact THREE employees at the desk were standing there when I left and didn't say anything is very upsetting. How could they not say anything and let me waltz right out of there with a stained up gross shirt?!?! Now to the services. She was the third stylist I've had in three visits (why such a high turnover?) Loved the other two. I just didn't feel like we were communicating, and that became CLEAR with my results. She didn't show me any color swatches. Just used a lot of "technical" terms about coloring, when all I wanted was just a REPEAT of what the ex-stylist did before. She didn't even mix the color herself. Someone else did it, and she didn't even watch what they did, and was totally distracted while communicating with him as well. They whole thing felt PHONED IN. I don't know why she couldn't replicate how my hair was already colored, and then double check with color swatches of hair to make sure we were on the same page shade wise. Basically, I had the ENTIRE top of my head bleached out about 5 shades LIGHTER than the shade of the original highlights. WAY MORE highlighted hair than I had before. Had no idea where that came from. Plus, it is not even. On the left side, the blond melts down past my ears, and on the right it only goes down half way. I look like a bumble-bee head. My cut was very minimal, and the use of product was STINGY. My hair felt thin and dry when I left. Asked for layers, got pretty much just a trim. I expressed a little surprise at the results, and she went on the defensive. Basically it was my fault because I let so much time go since my last appointment. Hmmm in all my years of coloring never heard that one. In short, I'm upset because nobody stepped up and helped me out with my shirt, and I walked through Von's all afternoon with a filthy shirt. If you are going there make sure to wear old clothes like you are getting ready to go house-painting. Check, double check, and triple check that your stylist is LISTENING.
