A Belgian style brewery with Southern charm. The taproom -- well, the whole operation to be completely honest -- is beautifully furnished. There are a lot of metallic motifs juxtaposed with rural, earthy wood and leather elements. It is the kind of place that feels equally comfortable whether you're there alone or with a large group. There is plenty of space, and an extra mini-taproom if you want to reserve for an event. There is a large window that lets you see the kettles and instruments used for brewing. Sugar Creek prides itself on serving fresh, authentic Belgian beer. As of the last time I was there, they still had no IPAs (sorry hopheads), but they are working on a Belgian IPA as I type.
There is also a small kitchen that makes sandwiches and the like, made to order. The staff is friendly and courteous and the pricing is very fair. Definitely try the Raspberry White -- currently only available in the brewery, but I have the word that it will soon be bottled!
Within eyeshot of Old Meck and right next to a distillery and the future home of a cidery, it's a great place to begin (or end!) your bar crawl.
