| - I had decided to stray from my usual brow lady because I just didn't have enough time to drive to her. I got a lady who was very sweet and I thought we were on the same page when it came to what I wanted done to my brows. All I asked for was that they were trimmed and cleaned up on the top and bottom. She even said "your eyebrows are thick" and in return I said "yes, I like them that way."
Here's the best part so stay with me now. Every time she would pull the muslin off of my face she would make a "YES" or a "GOOD" or a "VERY NICE" exclamation. Based off of her excitement, I was so ready to look in the mirror and see Jennifer Lopez. When she told me she was done, I looked in the mirror and had to literally put on my glasses (I don't even have bad vision) to make sure that I was seeing my eyebrows correctly. Half of my eyebrow was gone and the top layer of skin on my upper lip had been ripped off.
She asked me how I liked it and I just didn't have the heart to tell her I was not pleased. She told me to just fill it in a little at the ends. A LITTLE?? What happens if I didn't wear make up? Would I have to live the next month of my life with half an eyebrow? Thankfully, ABH came to the rescue and I am now with temporary eyebrow tail, but that's besides the point.
I went to the front to pay, expecting to pay the usual $16 or whatever you normally pay at a nail salon. Imagine my face when I got hit with $30. By the way, I also tipped her. I went home to further investigate my brow and lip and realized she had nicked skin around my eyebrow with tweezers.
I went on the website and got the email to the salon to express my distress in hopes that someone would forward it to the manager or owner. It's been 4 days since I emailed them and haven't had a single response. No email, no phone call, nothing. So now here I am, $35 broker, sans half an eyebrow, and a scab on my upper lip.
TL;DR: Half my eyebrow is gone, skin ripped off my lip, tried to reach out to management, no answer.
