Can't believe I haven't reviewed Poplar Animal Hospital. I have been taking my fur babies here for 2+ years. They were the first vet I had when I moved to Concord. I now live in Charlotte and take the 30 minute trip out there to keep seeing the doctors at Poplar Animal Hospital- I do this with two cats who hate to be in cars. That tells ya something right there. Truthfully I am not raving so much about the care - it's great but I have no examples of above and beyond- but more about the practice as a whole. Everyone combined makes a really pleasant experience when taking in your babies (I'm talking Drs, vet techs, the front desk (whom honestly I deal w/ the most as my babies are on life long medication so I call for refills on the regular). Now onto what moved them from 4 stars to 5. The price. As mentioned I relocated to Charlotte proper about 6 months ago. Previous to this move I always kinda thought Poplar Animal hospital was rather, well, pricey. Boy was I wrong. In just trying to find a more local vet I realized that Poplar Animal Hospital is where it's at. Not only is the care great, but the prices are the lowest in town. From vaccines to office visits etc etc. Now you can go cheaper and go to the county animal shelters, but that's a PIA to say the least. My time is worth more than the few dollars I'd save per vaccine. So there ya have it.
