| - If I must buy water, I must...but this is one area I'm not ashamed to say I'm a cheapskate. I go to this location because it's super close and the cost for water is better than other area stores. Never do I expect to receive stellar customer service, and therefore I'm never disappointed. They serve treats (ice cream, pickles) and sell various candies, snacks, etc., but I am only ever there to buy water.
Cost for water is $0.25/gal except on Wednesdays, when it's $0.20/gal. If you pay "full price" (days other than Wed), you can get a card punched and earn credit towards a free 5 gal (after 50 gals purchased, I believe). Be prepared to bring cash payment unless the total is more than $3.
They also have outdoor self-serve water stations that are available around the clock, but (A) they seem to short you, my container is never filled up even close to all the way, and (B) the area is a bit sketchy at night, poorly lit and near the back of the building where all kinds of vagrants and weirdos wander around...I personally wouldn't come here alone, as a woman.
Most of the regular employees are friendly enough, and although I sometimes have to wait for them to mosy about their business in the back room before finally deciding I'm worth their time, I just make sure I'm never in too much of a hurry when I go. One of the reasons I keep coming back is that the first time I went, when I had no cash or change on me, assuming I could use my debit card, the woman (one of the owners, maybe?) was very sweet and told me to just bring payment the next time I came in. That's trust you don't encounter very often these days! But I should also say I had one horrible experience with another employee (perhaps an owner?), who was an older heavyset man, I see him in there ocassionally. I won't go into great detail, but I will say he was unbelievably rude and exuded a hatred towards me that I can't explain...I'd done nothing at all to provoke him, just had gotten my water and handed him my payment. It was weird. So I avoid going in when I see that he's working.
Can't say that I recommend this place, but the water tastes great and the cost is pretty decent, from what I've seen.
