| - I have been seeing Dr. Chen for several years for melanoma follow-up and psoriasis primarily. She is amazing! She explains everything in detail, listens to what you say, never rushes the patient, and she goes well above and beyond in patient care. I can't recommend Dr Chen highly enough.
Examples of above and beyond:
When I had a malignant melanoma recurrence, she called me at home in the evening to talk to me about it and made sure I understood the seriousness of the matter (i.e., see my oncologist immediately!!), then called again the next day to be sure I had made an appointment!
Currently, i have been very ill for the past 8 months with wounds that won't heal, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hair loss, severe anemia, and distorted taste buds. I have been on nutrition through an IV for four months since I am unable to eat anything and keep it down. My latest issue was that my throat and mouth felt scalded, and I got a horrendous, scaly, blistering rash on my face, hands, elbows, bum, and foot. Extremely painful. I rushed to see Dr Chen, and she told me it was impetigo. The next day while my home health nurse was visiting, my phone rang and it was Dr Chen. She had continued to think about my face, and did some research; she now believes that I am zinc deficient. She immediately got together with my surgeon, who orders the nutrition, to get zinc added. She also prescribed zinc pills and vitamins with zinc and sure enough, the rash started improving immediately and is no longer painful. And zinc deficiency could be the cause of all my other issues as well. As far as I am concerned, Dr Chen is brilliant! Zinc deficiency is very rare in adults. I said just that to my surgeon, and he replied "Well, she is smarter than I am!" Lol (My surgeon is also excellent).
I highly recommend Dr. Chen.
