A couple years ago my husband bought me some diamond earrings at Ultra (in the Tempe mall). We had purchased a lifetime warrenty on these diamonds. I have been keeping up with these inspections for years. Every time I brought them in to Ultra I was told that they look great, but they don't have the correct screw backing (they had been sold to us this way). Each time they would ask me if I wanted to purchase the correct backing for them, I would decline. The store eventually closed down and we were told to go to Jared who would take over the cleanings and inspections done twice a year.
Well let me tell you, today was a good day. I walked into Jared's for my routine inspection and was helped by a woman named Jane. She looked up my info, cleaned/inspected my earrings and asked the same question I had heard 1,000 times before. I declined the $100 earring backing that she had offered and went on my way. When I was driving home she called me to tell me that my earrings were under warranty, therefore, they would replace my studs/backings for free. I returned a few days later and she had a ticket all made out for me.
Now let me just say, that is service! I had already left the store and she took the time to look into my account and notified me of a benefit I did not know I qualified for. No one in had ever done that for me in the 7 years that I had owned these earrings. She really went above and beyond to make me a happy customer and I was really extremely impressed.
