Like others on here, I bought a Groupon for this place back in August for 15 spa services for $30. I went in and redeemed it and used it twice, then when I went back for a third time they had a sign up saying "temporarily closed". Well that was back in November, and I was waiting for it to reopen so I could use the rest of my spa services before they expired on 2/18, but that date came and went and they never opened back up.
Thanks to Groupon I got my $30 back! But these guys are shady for just taking everyone's money and then closing up. Maybe they were struggling and they thought that running a Groupon would help get them back on their feet. But they probably learned after the fact, like most business owners do, that a Groupon actually ends up costing you money after Groupon takes their cut and people get their discounted products or services and then you never see them again. Groupon is simply an advertising tool, and advertising always costs money, so people shouldn't expect to actually make money off of it other than in terms of residual business. But if your business is struggling to begin with, either because your products or services are overpriced or your customer service isn't good, then a Groupon is only going to bury you further. And this place is a perfect example of that.
