| - Butterjoint is a favorite all of the time but I rarely dine on the Legume side. Last night we had a birthday dinner with a group of eight friends. It was - beginning to end - perfect. Our server was great and fun. Her recommendations for appetizers and wine were spot on. we went pretty nuts and tried as much as we could: pickle plate, Hidden Hills raclette, vermont raclette (with kimchi - was super delicious), goat cheese and pepper jelly crostini, grilled cabbage, butter lettuce salads, shaker corn, pork chop, tenderloin, and the cassoulet. I had the cassoulet as it's one of my favorite things ever. I put my order in with the appetizers so it would come out with the other entrees (takes about 45 minutes to prepare). It was glorious. We had a few Mercy of the Bartender cocktails - all bourbon-based, all great. And then on to dessert. We ordered the mincemeat pie, the black walnut with salted caramel (I think?), and a few of the shortbread with lemon curd and pomegranate - everyones' favorite.
Stellar night all around. Thank you, Legume!
