| - Adding a bit of what else makes a venue special - it's the people and the service. Some of the staff that I've met include Fausto, Terry, A.J., Brandon, Travis, and Summer. Terry has moved on, but he was one great ex-dreadlocked barkeep. I think it was that he had to get married and get serious with life.
Fausto, Travis and Summer are great, they remember who you are, they check back with you regularly, and they remember what you like.
It's the follow-through when you're delivering an order, whether it's a single customer or a gaggle, a single beer or a feast, it's important to meet the customers' eyes when the product is delivered. There's nothing worse than having the employee set the order down but be talking or concentrating on someone else at that moment. Without that moment of connection, the delivery seems like an afterthought. I've rarely had to be on the other side of the transaction, so all i can say is I appreciate the demands on the employee, but as a customer, that' moment of connection makes me believe that the server knows that I'm there.
The crowd gets bigger as the week moves on. Mondays and Tuesdays are quiet, even into Happy Hour. And by the way, the Happy Hour deals are good.
Fate's my neighborhood brewery, I appreciate the work of McFate and his team for their entrepreneurial and beer-making skills and passion!
