  • We just moved to Scottsdale and I prefer to get my meats from a real butcher rather than a chain grocery store. I was happy to find one close to home! So, We stopped in this last weekend to check it out. The owner was great and cut my order of 4-5 oz filet of beef tenderloin. He seemed to feel my choice size was surprising but he did a great job and gave me exactly what I asked for! I believe 4-5 ounces in a serving is plenty and I don't really care to be left with leftover steak as it just is never the same reheated. Anyway, to the meat! I am a Nebraska born girl and having grown up on Nebraska beef I was thrilled to be told by the owner that all his beef comes from Nebraska - either from Grand Island or from Omaha. I pretty much grew up in the middle of those two towns/cities. The steaks were absolutely wonderful and I now plan on ordering a beef tenderloin for Christmas as soon as they email they are taking orders for it. Oh, yes, that is another thing I liked. They add you to their mailing list so you get updates on stuff like pre-ordering on time for the holidays. I don't know if they send out updates on specials though - it would be great if they did. I will most definitely be a return customer.
