Stayed here over Easter weekend and had a similar experience to my last visit. But I do have a few things to update.
1. Valet: first time using it and they were fast and efficient
2. Check-in: This time was awful. Friday afternoon they should be prepared for crowds and figure out how to streamline. My "favorite" part is when my group were standing away from the line (so as not to clog it up) and security? told them that couldn't stand there. Group told him that if they could streamline check-in, he wouldn't have to stand there. Fortunately, security apologized and brought them water.
3. Upgraded my room for only $20 additionally and was put on the top floor with great views.
4. I grabbed a half bottle of wine from mini-bar and only drank a glass of the chardonnay. Placed it back in bar to keep it chilled; maid took it out and when I returned it was warm. Boo. Wasn't try to sneak out wine, just keeping it cold.
5. Pool was busier this time and it took us longer than usual to flag down server for drinks.
6. Ordered room service of ice cream & desserts and although they were fast & efficient, the "hot" fudge was cold and could NOT be poured over the ice cream. Yuck.
7. It annoys me when the maid does not replenish shampoo, etc in the bathroom.
Despite all the above, I did decide to keep it at 4 stars because I think the Encore exceeds other Vegas hotels I've stayed at (Mirage, MGM, Treasure Island, Paris, etc.)
