I am thankful that you are here and that you take your non-emergency calls seriously, but after seeing the numerous comments about the non-emergency line wait time, and experiencing it myself a couple of times, we need to guide you into the 21st Century.
Here is a great solution! Get a dedicated TEXT phone line for non-emergency issues instead of making us call in. This way, one officer can keep tabs, and prioritize, and your department will SAVE TIME & MONEY. Your officer can simply text back if more information is needed, and this will save your department from having these harsh comments about wait times.
PLEASE think about it carefully, and put it into action ASAP!!! This will really be a good thing for everyone in the community, and will give your department more control and more time for real emergency calls.
