We booked rooms at the Golden Nugget Hotel across the street but after discovering the Binions Poker Room, this was the only poker room I played in downtown Vegas.
The poker room is somewhat small (although their tournament room looks to be very spacious) but it is very clean, new, and comfortably spaced.
Staff
-Dealers: The dealers were all awesome and all the players at the table liked the dealers as well. Some may not be the most talkative but they were very efficient and did their job well.
-Floor: By the 3rd day I was playing here, most of their floor staff recognized me and some even welcomed me by my first name and wished me luck every time. Can you even ask for more?
-Waitresses: They were "ok". The service compared to other rooms was probably average at best.
Binion's Poker Room crushes the Golden Nugget competition across the street in every way. It offers $2/hour player comp, only requires a $10 minimum for the high hand bonuses (unlike GN's $20), actually has a bad beat jackpot, and the tables are nice and spaced out so you don't feel so cramped. It should easily be the best poker room in downtown Vegas.
