| - I came here the other evening for happy hour and ended up staying for dinner.
I am very impressed! We ordered the crabcakes, which were light, fresh and tastey. They are deep friend but it didn't feel unhealthy or overly saturated in fat which was great. I ordered the scallops because of all the wonderful reviews on here, and yet again yelp did not fail me! My friend ordered the short rib, which was also excellent, I like how they serve the sauce on the side as to not over power it. One thing to note though: my scallop dish was very small (3 scallops) and my friend got two massive pieces of short rib. The portions were way off. I was still slightly hungry after my scallops and 1 crab cake, so of course we ordered the apple bacon bread pudding, which was nice. The blueberry sauce they put on it is great, not too sweet and compliments the other flavours nicely.
The ambiance is also very nice, with lots of light and fresh air coming in, crisp white tables clothes while still giving the allusion of being somewhat casual.
The cocktails were okay as well, the ones that we tried from the menu didn't amaze me. But weren't bad either, I'm rather picky admittedly. I did have the bartender make me an extra dirty martini which for once in Arizona was done almost perfectly. I don't know what is it with the desert but they can't make a martini to save their life. But here it was pretty good, I'll be returning for that. I should also note they have Sipsmith here! Haven't seen that in other bars in the area so I was very excited as that is my gin of choice.
All is all - nice place, good food, decent price, acceptable cocktails.
