| - I had been intrigued by the scallop-looking building in the sky since the first time I had gone to Crystals when it had initially opened. I finally went earlier this week, and was extremely impressed with the decor and the service (everyone from the host stand to the waiter -- service is top notch here). When the menu came, I was in a seafood eater's heaven!! Their seafood, which ranges from the traditional (tuna, salmon, swordfish) to the the more interesting (opakapaka and chilean seabass), is flown in fresh.... and that's what allows Mastro's to keep the flavors simple so that the fish remains the star on the plate. I opted for the Chilean Sea Bass and my man went for their jumbo lobster tails. Brilliance. The group we were with also ordered almost all the sides on this menu and stand outs were the creamed spinach, the asparagus, and the sauteed mushrooms. Their wine list is also pretty extensive and the sauvignon blanc was fantastic. We skipped dessert because we were too full... but the tea we had (they have really interesting flavors, including chocolate coconut) was a perfect compliment to a great meal. Given the choice between Bartolotta (see my review) and Mastro's, I would take Mastro's any day. Bravo, Mastro's, on a job well done!!
