  • To start this review I would like to say that I feel as though giving this place one star is a bit of an over reach in their quality. And by a bit, I mean a huge over reach. Alright were to start with this absolute joke of an experience. I was here in April 2015 for a huge equestrian World Cup even with one of my best friends I hadn't seen in almost 2 years. I was obviously extremely excited. However would I have known what joys this "hotel" would bring us I would've spent the extra money to stay somewhere better, or even rent a car to sleep in the parking lot for the event and I would've had a better experience. I put "hotel" in quotation marks as I feel a better name for it would be generously given as a disorganized, over rated, slop house. I don't even know where to start with all of the disappointment which was the Red Roof Inn on Paradise. The rooms were musty smelling, incredibly hot no matter how cold the AC was working, the doors never worked with the key cards (which by the way was constantly blamed on my friend and I, even when walking from the room and back to the office to tell them that yet again we could not gain access to our room), the beds incredibly uncomfortable (and everything was very dirty. I thought I may get an STD sleeping there), and the staff was horrifically unprofessional and of questionable morals. Honestly they just seemed shady. Now we had paid a considerable amount of money for the tickets to the World Cup. However upon getting locked out of the room for the third time, we missed the penultimate night of the event. It took approximately 4 hours to get back in to the room as the staff messed around and did not take us seriously about not being able to gain entry. It wasn't until I told them I do in fact have a fatal heart condition they sort of got their rear in gear in order to us to get in our room (still 2 hours mind you after this fact came about). We left that night to the Best Western and had an absolutely fabulous experience. The staff at the Red Roof comped us for our cheapest night, charged us for the night we weren't there, and were not willing to reimburse us for the night of our even we missed. I was shocked and appalled by the fact this place has ever gotten good reviews. I can appreciate saving money as much as any person but can state with authority that it's much better to pay a couple extra bucks and stay at literally any other hotel.
