| - This place wasnt too bad. But then again when is being in quick care good.?!?
I got in a bad bicycle accident, ripped a huge piece of skin off my knee, seems there were tons of glass and rocks all over and in it. Fantastic huh? I was bleeding bad.I could not bend it, and was scared to walk on it. I got scooped up into the car and taken to this place , it was the closest possible.
The cool thing : They took me instantly upon arrival. I needed a wheelchair to get from the car to the actual building. Once I came in they saw my bloody leg and got me in asap. There was a lady with her child in the waiting room getting mad that she was there first, and that her kid had a stomach ache. She did not seem to notice my bleeding leg. The office staff ignored her negative vibe and told her to hold on she would be next. My issue was far more dire.
Inside they gave me tetanus , and a bunch of numbing shots so that the doctor could try and pick the rocks out, and flush it with solution. He was a very nice guy, but suggested I go to the emergency room because he wasnt sure if my wound had more rocks inside or if it needed to be cut open to see if any foreign matter was left. So that part sucked, cause I now had to go to another place because he was not authorized to do some of the things that at ER could. That was the only down fall...Paid for his services, and now I am going to have to go to a new place again , pay for their service and wait to get checked in... ugghhh. It was going to be a long day.
Otherwise they took care of me, and made me feel better and not scared about all the needles they stuck me with. So I left without stitches, but nice and numb to embark on the waiting room of UMC on Charleston.
