  • Alright, look, I feel so bad for the grocery stores on Yelp. It's pretty hard to be a grocery store and get high marks, considering that most of the general population actually hates grocery shopping and being around crazy shoppers. I wouldn't normally be compelled to update a review on a Giant Eagle, but recently, as one of the employees was scanning me out, he informed me that a free giant iced tea came with one of my purchases, per their weekly ad. I suck and don't read the weekly ad, so I didn't know. He asked me if I wanted to go get one, and I said it wasn't a big deal. He then sent another employee to run and get me one, and he literally returned in 1 minute. I thought that was really nice, considering most people are pretty grumpy in a grocery store and not willing to go an extra mile. Thanks, Giant Eagle, for the nice customer service! Well worth adding 1 star.
