| - DO NOT waste $30 on this ferry to Toronto Island Park, unless you enjoy listening to a 20 year old talk incessantly, literally, 55 minutes of the 60 min tour. As a visitor, I'm interested in learning about notable landmarks, history and interesting facts (Funny is great, if it's appropriate!)....but not constant personal opinions and comments on EVERYTHING; inappropriate comments regarding nude beach, being mooned by island dwellers, making jokes whether we the passengers will be needing our life vests, etc. Additionally if safety is a priority which should be a resounding yes, well it's not on this boat, people were kneeling on their seats leaning over the side of the boat the entire trip and the "first mate" (narrator) could clearly see them and said nothing. In addition to the danger aspect of the kneeling passengers, they completely blocked the view of EVERYONE behind them so the people on the other side of the boat had to stand to see, and the people inbetween missed out on many photo opportunities. Guess where I sat? Yes, in the middle. Out of frustration I moved to stand near the door, the only place I could really stand without obstructing anyone's view. I thought I might be asked to sit down but nope, I was allowed to stand right next to the door which wasn't locked and with one little flip I could've opened the door, not that I would, just another example of the lackadaisical attitude towards safety. SPEND $10 AND TAKE EITHER THE HARBOR TAXI OR THE TIKI TAXI. Spend five minutes and google Toronto Harbor history and fun facts and you'll learn just as much if not more.
