Very friendly folks. The cut your own area was closed for the season by the time we got around to picking out a tree on 12/10. And they only had a few pines left. We went with a lovely balsam fir. They're pricier, but smell so delightful once inside the home.
They even had some pie pumpkins for sale. Asked the boys if they wanted me to make pie and the family were willing to just give us a pumpkin. Also offered cookies and hot cocoa. We were full from our great lunch down the road at Tinkers Creek Tavern, so all we left with was a tree.
Great combo, though. If we had more time, we would have started with a hike.
