| - Man... It took me forever to actually decide on how many stars to give King's Fish House. I finally decided that this place is the best of a bad situation. AZ has zero good seafood, zero! Outside of the Salt Cellar, but I never even think to go to that place. For God's sake the entire thing is a basement with what looks to be an outhouse on top of it. Land Ho.
Anyhow, this, IMO, is some of the most decent fish you can find in the valley. It's incredibly overpriced, and unless you're sitting at the bar, the service just isn't great. If you are lucky enough to time your visit right around when the sourdough loaves come screaming out of the ovens, you're in luck. Fresh bread here is amazing... But wait fifteen minutes, and you are screwed. Stale bread city. The entrees are overpriced and over portioned, but what can you do. Be careful about ordering anything with sauce - your poor little dinner will be drowning in it. That was not an ocean joke. I am being very serious. Ease up on the sauce, King.
NOW!!! The good part. We thoroughly enjoy coming here on Sunday mornings during football season and sitting in the empty bar enjoying oysters on the half shell and beers. This place has a honey beer that is out of this world! You can't get it anywhere else, and that alone is worth the three stars.
So let's recap - bar, oysters, beer = good!! Dining room, stale bread, drowning entrees = meh!!
