It pains me to write a negative review on Dr. D'Souza's practice as he is a great vascular surgeon. Several years ago he performed surgery on my legs and his office was well run and the experience was highly positive. Fast forward two years and his overall practice deserves only a one star rating. On going in for some minor pain, they technician tells me they want me to run another very expensive test as a "maintenance" activity. The test would have not been paid for by my insurance. I questioned the request and was told "you can say no, but I am told to ask all patients to have it done". Next, they decide I need more surgery and tell me they will submit a preauthorization. Fast forward two months and I hear nothing from them. On calling, they say -- gee not sure why we don't have the authorization. I find out the insurance company never received it. So, their office could not bother to follow up on a pending authorization for over two months until I finally call them? That communicates a lack of regard for me as a patient. Next up, they totally messed up billing and charges and it took three weeks and multiple phone calls to straighten out. Both times it appears no one in the office knows what is going on. Overall, it is a shame that such a talented Dr's practice is so poorly run and managed. They are also exceptionally busy and appear to me to have little concern for making sure patients are serviced properly. I will now find another qualified Dr that runs an effective practice. Dr. D'Souza, please do something to regain the quality you once had.
