Another place that I thought I'd have a blast.. But was definitely over-hyped by my peers! I came here expecting a lot and it just didn't deliver. I'm not saying Ripley's is a bad place to experience. If you haven't been, you MUST go. But after seeing all that was there to see, you'd probably won't need to go back. I was expecting to stay there for 3+ hours since there were so many things to see and take pictures of. Ended up only staying for 2.5 hours because it was such a small place.
I ordered my tickets online, so that was the good part (only good part I guess?). Two tickets cost $71, and there was a $4 convience fee? What the $&#@ is a convience fee? This is why I expected a lot.. I didn't pay $71 to see fish (mostly) that i could see during a snorkeling excursion on a cruise or other vacation destinations. Almost 75% of the fish I have seen before and not in an aquarium. However, I did enjoy their effort in making this building possible and "exciting" for youngsters and elders alike. There were a lot of detail and information about each creature. A lot of the info were interactive and needed the participation of the guests.
Not be a cynic.. But come for the experience and don't expect something awe inspiring. 3 stars for the great detail and effort into putting this place together!
PS - WHERE ARE ALL THE OTHER SHARKS?! :( lol
