One of my favorite places for dinner in Madison. I've made multiple visits here, and I've had some exceptional dishes, namely the quail, pork belly, rillete, and cavatelli (they often have some version of these on their menu). They Butcher their own meat, and you can taste the difference. At the same time, I've also been disappointed. I've been served food that was either boring (skate wing to name one) or lackluster (mushroom app), which is not acceptable for what this place is trying to be. With that said, this place has some of the boldest food in Madison and that deserves recognition. Dessert is pretty good, too.
