  • Yeah...I remember why I don't eat here. This is another one of those barbecue places where they just give you plain meat and expect you to figure out what kind of sauce you want. Only they don't tell you what the available sauces are. (Seriously - none of the bottles on our table were labeled.) When I order pulled pork (especially if it's topping an order of mac-n-cheese), I expect it to be sauced when I get it. Have you ever tried to sauce meat on top of mac-n-cheese without also saucing the mac-n-cheese? It doesn't work. And a main component of mac-n-cheese should be...wait for it...cheese. Something they (apparently) don't believe in at Brickhouse. Our waitress was befuddled - and mostly absent - from start to finish. She told us she was new, so we tried to be understanding. But three of the four old-fashioneds ordered at our table (Korbel and Templeton rye - two rounds of each) were made incorrectly. As in...bourbon instead of Korbel in one of them, and who knows what was in either of the second-round drinks. I don't know if that was a server miscommunication or a bartender mistake, but it was absolutely ridiculous. Fortunately, we ordered the second round after we had paid for dinner, so we were able to just send the drinks back and move on to another venue. In this case, permanently.
