My father had cataract surgery yesterday. His follow up was today. They scheduled is appointment at 7:30 am. We were there 15 minutes early along with another gentleman sent from the VA hospital. No one was there. We tried to call, they do not have an answering service. We waited until 10 after 8. Still nothing. Finally left. When I got my father home I called and was put through to the office manager who 1st accused us of getting the facility wrong. When I told her I was looking right at the post op instructions she said, this has happened before. The Glendale office is never open on Thursday. Then said my father had to be seen today. He is older, has had many heart attacks and was tired. She said if he didn't come today she would be forced to send a certified letter of non-compliance. REALLY!! No apologies nothing. She then called my father and after a few minutes hung up on him. This office does not care about their patients. Go somewhere where you will be treated like a human being. This is malpractice and if I were the patient I would personally file a BOMEX complaint.
