| - Having dined at LAVO on a few occasions, I was impressed to see how well the restaurant's signature upscale vibes translated into a social sports viewing environment - courtesy of the attached Casino Club.
I can't speak as to the typical LAVO Casino Club experience during a non-football weekend - but I can say that we were thoroughly impressed by our NFL viewing experience during Divisional Playoff weekend:
___________
+ There's no way that one would be able to tell how expansive the Casino Club is when viewed from the LAVO Restaurant downstairs. At a glance from below, it looks like a stylish glass-paneled hallway; in reality, it's a pretty sizable multi-room lounge space, decked out with plush couches, full-length bars, and plenty of tasteful decor. The Casino Club is dimly lit, with a mostly-dark color scheme balanced out by just the right amount of natural lighting. It's impressively large and has a laid-back, intimate feel that exemplifies that "Vegas posh" sort of aesthetic.
___________
+ We made reservations about a week in advance of our arrival. Our table booking was taken care of by Nick (who did a great job of keeping us informed in the days leading up to our visit!). The two-person booking that we made came with a minimum spend of $150 per person - which went surprisingly far thanks to the reasonable cost of the various food/drink items (which I had expected to be priced at a less-friendly "Vegas nightclub" sort of tier). Cocktails were about $12-15 each - I particularly enjoyed the refreshing Montenegro Mule and the LAVO-Rita.
Sadly, the Casino Club's Bloody Mary didn't feature the same Parmesan cheese-crust rim provided at the sister restaurant downstairs, but oh well - can't win 'em all!
___________
+ Service is very friendly and very attentive; the staff operates with an impressively consistent sense of pace and urgency. our waters were consistently refilled with haste (and with our food/drink spend, believe me - we were requesting PLENTY of water refills).
Upon being seated, our orders were taken almost immediately. I was impressed with how well the staff managed to keep up with the influx of orders, especially given that the place started to get pretty packed as LAVO brunch got underway downstairs.
+ I really enjoyed having the freedom to enter/exit the LAVO Brunch party. Our reserved seats allowed us to watch football, venture downstairs during halftime for some dancing/debauchery, and return back just as the game was getting ready to resume. It's the perfect setup for those who are looking for a game-viewing experience with a lively twist. (Plus, you don't have to deal with a wall-to-wall crowd of sardine-packed patrons as you try to enjoy your food & drinks!).
___________
PRO TIP:
+ Although you may only see the downsized, one-page Brunch and Casino Club menus upon being seated, keep in mind that you should be able to order off of the full LAVO menu upon request. We were momentarily bummed to see that the LAVO Wedge Salad wasn't an option on the Casino Club menu - but our server was quick to accommodate our special request!
