| - We broke our lease last month in order to exit early. All is true in reviews below, so I won't be redundant. A couple of things I haven't seen mentioned yet...
The cats. Oh, lord, so many cats. Smelly, loud cats. You'd think they would eat the cockroaches. Smelly, loud, *picky* cats. On the third floor, and with no animals, our apartment reeked of cat, permeating from them living under the stairs.
Maybe we should have felt very safe because of the sensitive fire alarms, but we never had a fire at 3am when all of our alarms would go off for several minutes. It's ok, sleeping is overrated. Reported, never taken care of.
The pool garbage cans are almost always overflowing. There are always cigarettes on the ground, sometimes in the pool.
My roommate's car's passenger side mirror was ripped off and taken overnight. Our neighbor, who rides a motorcycle, had parts stolen from it... in the parking lot.
Solicitors frequently knocked on the door. We were on the third floor, mid-complex. How many doors do they knock on before security notices (what security.)?
The rent is cheap, but there are complexes in the area with comparable rates. And by the time you are fed up and move out early, have to pay penalties and to move again, miss days of work, etc...
