Been to the Cosmo Hotel & Casino a ton of times and my typical go-to drink is the Cosmo (amazing, if you haven't tried it yet). At the Chandler Bar though, I opted to try the hyped up Verbena cocktail. And it was most certainly memorable!
I was instructed by the friendly bartender to take an initial sip of the drink, then chew up the Szechuan flower (at least 10 seconds, and make sure you get it all around your mouth), then swallow the flower bits (including the stem). The effects of the flower is almost immediate and it almost feels like tiny little bubbles all over our tongue and mouth. Kind of like champagne or pop rocks. When you take a second sip of the Verbena, it's a totally different mouth feel. Almost spicy-like, with everything that's bubbling in your mouth. It was quite the unique experience. I'd recommend taking a sip of water also, as that tastes different as well.
The Chandalier bar is beautiful, and as many others have said, can make for some very interesting people watching. Go get your drink on!
