Great store, my Go-to for speciality kitchen gear and all my cutlery.
The shop is well laid out and the people are very friendly, patient, and most of all knowledgeable about their products. Take Shay, their knife expert, for example. He could tell you every little detail about every knife in the case. From the metallic composition, to the history of the company, he really knows his stuff. In fact, he's the only person I let touch my asian-style knifes like Shun or Miyabi. A true tradesman when it comes to sharpening.
Be sure to take a look at their cooking classes as well! It's not just for pros, anyone can sign up for a class and learn pro-grade skills and have fun while doing it. It's great for groups. Chef Lane has some great pastry classes and explains everything in a way where even the most novice of cooks can perform the tasks in a artful manner.
It is a little pricey, keep that in mind. I have to budget myself every time I walk into the store because I would quite literally buy their entire inventory if you gave me an AMEX black card! Be sure to check them out if you're in the Northcross area and you're very likely to find some unique wares you didn't even know you needed!
